Frequently Asked Questions

How many therapy sessions will I need?

There is no set-in-stone answer. Goals are set at the beginning of treatment, and with that being said, goals can become fluid; we meet one goal, and in the process, discover something else that you would like to work on. Throughout the therapeutic relationship, we will check in with each other to note progress and alter our treatment focus as needed. Ultimately, I am happy to support you as long as you need!

How often should I have sessions?

Weekly sessions at the start of treatment promote consistency, comfortability and accountability. It is recommended that sessions begin weekly, with the option to taper sessions once progress in initial goals has been made.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with the following insurance plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Virtual Network)

  • United Healthcare

  • Oxford

  • Aetna

Co-payment is determined once insurance is verified. It is recommended that you contact your insurance and ask about your behavioral health coverage.

Do you provide superbills?

I can provide a superbill to you, which you can provide to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement for services. It is recommended that you contact your insurance and ask about your behavioral health coverage to see if this is a viable option for you.

How am I billed for services?

I utilize Headway for all billing and client portals. They have team members that are available for any questions regarding insurance and billing.

What is your cancellation policy?

There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please reach out to me via phone or email prior to 48 hours before our session time. If the cancellation is made within the 48 hours, the late cancellation fee is equal to the full session rate.
